With the holidays coming closer every day, we have finished decorating the homestead. Which means we have placed our little illuminated penguin on the front porch and plugged her in. It’s a beautiful sight, for sure. Here at home, we really do believe that less is more. So, we feel that the illuminated penguin is just the holiday touch we need.

(1) Wacky Packet – Nick Trost and Gary Plants: A terrific packet trick created by Nick Trost. With perfectly printed Bicycle poker-size cards.
Four face-down cards are counted. They are counted again, and one has turned face up.
One by one, the other three cards turn face up as well.
The count is repeated, and the cards turn face-down.
Then the faces vanish.
Everyone thinks that the routine has ended, but there is more. Since the faces have changed, the performer decides to try it with the backs, and they change one by one from blue to a rainbow of assorted colors.
