We have been really busy this week, packing and shipping and shipping and packing. Halloween is coming, and folks are all getting new magic to add to their Halloween programs. Speaking of Halloween shows, we have just received a few of Mike Bent’s Forgetful Frankie. These have not been available for some time, but are now back in stock in very limited quantities. It is one of the best Halloween items ever (and you can use it all through the year as well). So, you should really check it out and pick one up while they are available.
We received our first shipment of Rick Haslett’s Cremation, and they all flew out the door. But, not before we got to play with one. The effect is fabulous, the method is super. And, Rick has promised us a few more before the Halloween show season begins. You really need to watch the video on this one!

Effect 1:
Show the audience a DVD box and explain that there are instructions on this DVD on how to solve the Rubik's Cube in seconds. Without a Rubik's Cube, however, the DVD is of no use. Quickly open the DVD box and out pops a 3D Rubik's Cube! The mixed up Rubik's Cube is solved in less than three seconds.
Effect 2:
Show a completely flat magazine, open it and show a page with an ad for Rubik's Cube. Close it and quickly open it again. The cube materializes from the page into your hands leaving a blank space in the ad where the cube used to be. Then the cube is quickly solved!

Just as you say that, the pom pom falls off while the wand is in your hands. You don’t see it, but the kids do and they will let you know! Fix it one more time. Gesture with the wand towards the audience. The pom pom goes flying again!
Explain that this is a job for Invisible Glue!
Bring out a small bottle labeled “INVISIBLE GLUE.” Unscrew the cap and pretend to pour some glue into the end of the wand but, oh no, you accidentally spilled some on the floor!
Remove a cloth from your case and wipe up the glue. Throw the cloth back into your case. You continue the routine, but don’t realize the cloth is now stuck to your thumb! You don’t see it, but the kids do! Arggh!
You finally get your thumb free of the cloth, but now it’s stuck to your other thumb! Pandemonium! Play this back and forth a few times and finally get free of the cloth.
Screw the cap back onto the glue bottle and place the bottle on your table. Continue with the routine. Now, the glue bottle is stuck to your thumb! You don’t see it but the kids are going crazy trying to tell you! You finally get free of the bottle.
Place the pom pom back onto the wand. It is now secure and can be used in your routine. There are more bits of business in this routine than you can shake a wand at!

Super Can is an amazing utility device that allows you to perform many great effects. You can perform productions, vanishes, teleportation, predictions, transposition, a version of the classic “Passe Passe Bottles” and many more!

* Open a can of Coke and pour the contents into a glass. Hand the empty can to a spectator. Make a small silk vanish. It reappears from the Coke can, completely dry. Now, tip the can and pour out some more Coke!

The blindfold is removed and for the spectators big surprise the can that he was holding all the times it is a Coke Can and the liquid poured out of the can is Coke. The spectator tries one more time and verifies that the drink was always Coke.
* The classic Passe-Passe effect brought to modern times, using soda cans! A Coke can and a Sprite can are shown to the audience and from both of them soda is poured out into two glasses. Cover both cans with plastic tubes and announce that you will teleport both sodas. The magic words are spoken, the tubes are removed, but nothing has happened. The cans remain in the same place. One more time they are covered, the magic words spoken and once again nothing happens. So, you decide to pour out the liquid. While the cans have not changed place, the liquids have! From the Coke can, Sprite is poured and from the Sprite can, Coke is poured. But it’s not over yet! Cover the cans once more with the tubes and for the big finale, magically both cans and liquids change places completely!

Show the audience a DVD case. On one side of the cover is a picture of a movie reel and film and the other side is black.
Ask a spectator to sign their name on both sides of the cover.
Very clearly place the DVD case into a paper bag with a hole in the center, which allows everyone to see the spectator’s signature. Leave the bag with the DVD case in full view.
Now show 8 laminated cards, each printed with a poster of a well-known film. Films like E.T., Superman, Lord Of The Rings, etc. After displaying the cards one by one, give them to a spectator to shuffle. Then, ask the spectator to select one.
