First, the benevolent Commonwealth of Massachusetts has decided that this weekend, August 13th and 14th, should be a Tax Free Weekend. This means that no matter what you purchase from us, you will pay no tax. This has the greatest effect on Massachusetts residents, and those folks who drop by the Medford shop over the weekend. Bottom line, no one pays any Sales Tax this weekend. Not one penny!
Next, those of you who were with us at this year’s Cape Cod Magic Conclave, remember that Conclaver’s Week starts on Saturday the 13th and runs through Friday the 19th. One little change, and you are going to like this. Get out your Conclaver’s Week Certificate. Wherever it says 30, change it to 35! That’s right, we are giving you even more than usual as our way of saying “thanks” for being with us at the Conclave. You can use the Conclaver’s Certificate online. (3) Cremation – Rick Haslett: Rick Haslett has created an effect that is absolutely perfect for your Halloween shows. Actually, it’s perfect all year round, but especially at Halloween. It is totally spooky!
You may use your own assistant or a member of the audience.
The subject inserts her arm into the box.
Open the top door and make a magical gesture. The box is suddenly engulfed in flames. Real flames dance from the box.
Close the top door to extinguish the flames.
Open the front door to reveal that the arm turned into a skeleton arm. Just bones!
With no cover of any kind, a flash of fire comes from inside the box and the arm is visibly restored! It looks amazing!
Cremation can be done successfully on small stages or in clubs as well as on a large stage.

While these are professional-grade illusions, they are not complex or difficult to build.
In the field of illusions, the illusions would be considered very affordable to build and relatively easy for an experienced builder.
Can the Illusions be Performed Surrounded?
Yes, all illusions can be performed surrounded but some illusions cannot be viewed from the top.
How different are these illusions from illusions detailed in J C's other books?
