Hank Lee's Free DVD Event!

Greetings from all of us at Hank Lee’s Magic Factory. Another hot week, in every sense of the word. Outside it’s in the 90s every day, but inside we are oh, so cool, as we pack and ship some of the hottest magic around.

For reasons only those of you on our email Newsletter know, we have had one of our busiest weeks ever. As the week comes to a close, we are just catching up on orders, but we will have them all out the door by today. I want to thank everyone for all the orders. You know what they say, “A busy elf is a happy elf!”

Puncture 2.0 finally arrived this week! All of the back orders have been shipped, and there is still stock to cover new orders. But, where are the Liquid Forks? Not in stock yet. Here’s our guess. These are coming from the UK. And they are heavy. So, we suspect that instead of shipping them to the US by Air, they were shipped by Surface, which can take a long time. This is just our educated guess, and we hope that they arrive very soon! If you have one or more on back order, believe me, we will ship these out the same day they arrive in stock!

If you buy magic from us online, and really, who doesn’t, you should register for the online catalog. It’s really easy and it’s free. Just click on the Register Button on the first page of the online catalog at www.magicfact.com. That will automatically sign you up for the Magic Of The Month Club. So, when you log in the next time, you will get the very special MOMC prices on all items being offered during the month. It’s a win-win situation. Actually it’s just a win situation, for you! So, what are you waiting for?

Lots of new stuff this week, as always. And a new excitement. I will not keep you from these for one more second!

DVD GIVEAWAY: One of our most popular excitements! Folks really love this one. What could be better than an old-fashioned DVD Giveaway! For the next five days, from right now until Tuesday, July 26th, at midnight, you have the opportunity to get DVDs for free! But, you have to get them the old fashioned way. You must earn them.
Here's the way it works: For every order of $100 or more, you get one free DVD (your choice of any single DVD that sells for $35.00 or less). If you spend $200 or more, you get two free DVDs (again, your choice). $300 or more gets you three free DVDs. And on it goes. The more you buy, the more you get for free! It's an incredible deal when you figure that the average price of a DVD is $35.00! In order to claim your free DVD, just put the name of the DVD in the Customer Notes Box at the bottom of the second page of the online checkout (after you fill in your name, address, etc.) at www.magicfact.com. If you phone your order in to our toll free number at 800 874 7400, just let the order-person know what free DVD(s) you want. If you FAX the order to us at 781 395 2034, same thing. Just let us know which ones you want. Remember, the giveaway ends on Tuesday, July 26th, at midnight!

Then, that thought-of person is called and a person from your personal phone book is called. Both are asked to name any single digit on a telephone's dial pad. Mysteriously, they both name the exact same digit proving a mysterious connection between strangers.
Prophesy Voice - Predict the Future: Play an audio prediction recorded days ahead of time on your cell phone that details events that came to be moments before it's heard. With the Prophesy Voice technique, you can predict virtually anything on your cell phone's recorder. Best of all it's Impromptu.

* Perform anywhere anytime.
* May be performed impromptu.
* May be performed close up.
* May be performed on stage.
* No extra props needed, just you and a cell phone.
* No apps to buy and nothing to download.
$25.00 (DVD01274)
Note: This is a non-discountable item.

(3) Split Personality – Wayne Dobson: The latest magic from the very creative mind of Wayne Dobson. A routine that utilizes iconic celebrity name cards and combines Wayne's clever comedy to produce a funny commercial effect that is guaranteed to add some variety into your repertoire.
The magician displays two sets of cards and a prediction. One pile of cards has last names of famous people, the other pile has first names of famous people. Each pile is given to a spectator to shuffle.
The top card from each pile is placed on the table, face down.
When the two cards are turned over they are supposed to make up the full name of the famous icon, for example Elvis and Presley. However, when the cards are turned over they don't match. The names in question should have made up either Charlie Chaplin or Marilyn Monroe.
The trick appears to have gone wrong as the cards are turned over to reveal Charlie Monroe. The magician turns over this prediction to reveal Charlie Monroe, an amusing morphed photographic image between the two famous icons.
This effect is supplied with everything you need to perform and is suitable for both beginners and professionals.
$25.00 (10.1652)

(4) HOW? – Rick Haslett: The third release in Rick Haslett’s “H” Series, HOW can only be described as a spectator-centric effect. The effect was created so that the spectators can get as close as they want while the magic happens!
Bring out an ordinary-looking lip balm. Stand it on end and concentrate. The lip balm wiggles a little bit and then falls to the table.
You can even have the spectator stand the lip balm on end. Encourage them to examine it all they want. Before, during or after. They will find nothing.
No reset. Repeat it over and over. No threads. No wires. No thumb tips. No static electricity. Just plain magic.
At a price you will really like!
$16.00 (10.1651)

(5) The Moment – Matthew Johnson & Christopher Taylor: Predict the future with a borrowed cell phone!
Who? Where? What? When? Why?
Who? – Anyone! A spectator, or someone chosen at random from a crowd of people.
Where? – Close-up, on the street, on stage, anywhere!
What? – Predict the exact moment when…
* The woman in red enters the bar
* The blue car drives by
* The correct object is chosen
* The selected card is dealt
When? – Borrow a cell phone anywhere in the world and set the timer/alarm to any random time, 20 seconds, 38 seconds, 1 minute and 20 seconds, it does not matter! The moment the time runs out on the cell phone the predicted event will occur!
Why? – Because now you can!
Other ideas include: The performer writes something on a piece of paper and crumples it up. The ball of paper is passed around the group like a hot-potato until the timer on a borrowed cellphone goes off. The participant holding the ball at that moment opens it to find it says, "The moment will be when, [his name] is holding this piece of paper".
This is powerful stuff of the reputation making variety!
$199.95 (40.796)

(6) Redemption – DVD and Gimmick – Chris Ballinger:
The Effects:
Use Redemption for visual vanishes, restorations and changes or as a secret switching device. You'll be miles ahead of your audience before they even realize that something has happened.
Redemption: A signed card is torn up and the pieces are placed in the spectator's open hand. The torn pieces and signature are seen until the last second when they unexpectedly vanish from the spectator's hand! You turn over the top card of the deck and find that it is the signed and restored selection.
Fuse Redemption:
A selected card is torn into quarters and held in your open hand. After a magical wave of your hand, the pieces are unfolded to show that they are no longer torn up, but fused together.
Covered Redemption:
A selected and signed card is torn up and covered by a single indifferent card. When the card is lifted by the spectator, they see that the pieces have vanished. Then they turn over the indifferent card to find that it has changed into the selection and is fully restored.
No-Sleights Redemption:
Perform Redemption without any sleight of hand. It's easy, fun and you'll fool yourself.
Contained Redemption:
A selected card is torn up and handed to the spectator to protect. Even under these impossible conditions the selection repairs itself!

You reveal the wrong card when trying to locate a selection. Out of frustration, you tear the wrong card to pieces. Wave the deck over the pieces and they transform into the torn up selection.
Dollar Redemption:
A borrowed bill is smashed into the deck, vanishes and is found in the center right next to the lost selection.
Double Redemption (AKA Zoom-Pow!):
A selected card is torn into quarters and covered with a face-up indifferent card. The pieces vanish and upon examining the indifferent card, they find the selection printed on its back.
Flash Redemption:
A selected card is torn into quarters. It's covered by the deck and instantly becomes fully restored without creases.
