A little scare on the home front. When I went for my annual physical, the doc found something that he didn’t like during the prostate exam. Really? Really. So, he made an appointment for me with the Urologist and off I went. This doc did a very thorough exam and discovered that there was a rough area on the prostate. So, he scheduled a prostate biopsy. I will not go into all the details, but suffice it to say that the operative word here is “ouch.” Of course, with all this going on, the scepter of prostate cancer looms large. Well, I got the results earlier this week, and thank goodness, it is not cancer. Three months of worrying now gone! Of course, the docs will be watching that area very closely from now on. What’s the message here? You knew there would be one. All of you males of the baby boomer generation should make sure and get a prostate exam as part of your annual physical. It is so important.
