Cesaral Melting Point - Cesar Alonso sent us the video to watch. We all watched it. Then we watched it again. And again. No matter how closely we watched, we could not figure it out. Melting Point is the most amazing Coin Thru Glass you will ever see. Ever. The method is diabolical to say the least.
The effect could not be more straightforward. Hand a coin and a plate glass surface to be fully examined. The glass is then held by two spectators. Show ten playing cards consisting of an Ace through Ten of one suit, plus two court cards, say, the two red Jacks. After the cards are mixed, a spectator freely selects any card. A second spectator then takes the cards, adds the two black Jacks and mixes all the cards together. The cards that become trapped between the Jacks are removed and their values totaled together. There might be two cards, a 7 and a 5 = 12. When the first spectator turns over his freely chosen card, it has the number 12 boldly written on its back. No other cards have 12 written on their back!
PRINTERFACE
Show five cards back and front - each card has a totally blank face. Invite a spectator to put a sticker on the back of one of the cards and then write his initials on the sticker. If you don't mind wasting a card each time he can sign the actual card. This blank signed card is placed face up in the middle and the cards placed on the table. Nothing is added or taken away. The spectator now spreads the five cards and to his amazement finds that the blank card in the middle is now fully printed. Not only that, but his signature is still intact! Finally you flip over the other four cards one by one - no false counts or any other moves - to reveal that these cards too are now fully printed and duplicates of the other card!

Major Arcana - Remove a small velvet pouch from your pocket. Explaining that all events in life occur due to some "choice or chance" a demonstration of this phenomenon begins. Take a small "casting ring" as well as three dice from the pouch.
Ask the spectator to attempt and cast the dice in the ring. The dice are totaled. Let's say the total is 11 (any number can be arrived at; the dice are not gimmicked in any manner). This, you explain, is an example of chance.
Now, for an example of choice. The spectator is simply asked to select either the number 1, 2, or 3. Let's say 3 is selected. The two numbers selected by choice and by chance are added (in this case 11 plus 3, the total is 14).
Remove a piece of parchment from the pouch and hand it to the spectator to read. It contains information on the 21 cards which make up the Major Arcana of the Tarot.. Card number 14 (in this case the card entitled "Temperance") is read aloud to see if its characteristics apply to the spectator!
Now remove a packet of Tarot Cards from the pouch. Note that although choice and chance do come into play, the forces of magick can also exert a strong influence. As the cards are spread, only one card is seen to be face down in the middle of the pack. It is turned over and found to be the card number fourteen - Temperance!
Remember: The card is freely selected by the spectator! A different card can be chosen each time with the same amazing results! The chosen card is the only one found reversed in the Tarot pack! The effect resets almost instantly, making it ideal for walk around performers!
