Greetings from everyone here at Hank Lee’s Magic Factory. And, thank you all for making this such a busy week.
The new system seems to be working out. Aron, the newest elf and my oldest son, has really been a quick study. He is here answering the phones and taking your orders. He’s really fun to talk to and I know you will like him. The guys are handling all the orders, the phones and all the day to day stuff. I still work on the ads and the weekly email Newsletter.
Today, if you check your calendar, is Friday the 13th. Be careful of black cats, stepping on cracks and walking under ladders. If you avoid those impending dangers, you should be just fine.
On the happiest of notes, the whole family was together last weekend in Oberlin, Ohio. We had the most fun Seder I have ever attended. All four of my immediate family were there plus a few of Lucas’ closest friends. It was great. You should have been there!
Then, on Saturday night, it was Lucas’ Senior Recital. He absolutely nailed it. He has grown so much in his singing over the past four years, it is truly amazing. We have the recital on DVD if anyone is interested. Just let me know.
And, that’s it for this week. I think you will really enjoy this week’s excitement.
BUY ONE GET ONE AT 60% OFF SALES EVENT: We have juiced up our Buy One Get One event by offering a gigantic 60% off the second item. That’s right, 60% off! Here's how it works. For the next 5 days, from right now, until Tuesday, March 27th at midnight, you can save like crazy.
How does it work? Simple, really. For every item you buy, you get the second item at 60% off. That's right, a full 60% off. So, if you buy a Harbin Suspension for $575.00 and a Happie Amp for $268.00, you will get the Happie Amp for $107.20! What a deal! It even works with non-discountable items. Just make sure the non-discountable item is the higher priced of the pair. If you buy more than two items (and, we thank you), we will pair them up so you get the best deal!
The rules are also simple. We deduct the 60% from the lower priced of the two items. You can buy as many items as you want, we will do the math so you save the most! There are a few items that are not included in this promotion. Very few. If you order one of those items, we will let you know before we process your order.
Note: Since this is a somewhat complicated sale, the online system will not do the math. Aron, a genuine college graduate elf, will do it here before we process your order. Your email confirmation will show the full price for each item, but we will figure the discounts before you are charged, and reimburse your credit card.
In order to take advantage of this outrageous sale, you must put the words BUY ONE GET ONE in the Customer Notes Box of the online checkout at www.magicfact.com. If you are calling your order in to our toll free number at 800 874 7400, give the order person the special code. If you are FAXing your order to 781 395 2034 or emailing it to email@example.com, just remember to include the special code, BUY ONE GET ONE and you will get the biggest discount ever! So, hop to it and save some serious dough!
Now, let’s take a look at this week’s Hotlist!
(1) Keylicious – Jeff Prace: A brand new fun, portable, easy to use, visual, gimmick!
Keylicious is a routine with, you guessed it: keys. Why keys? Well, the obvious answer is that keys are everywhere. Not only that, but keys are not something that spectators think can be manipulated.
Jeff's routine tells the story about growing up in the rough streets of Chicago. Of course Jeff's method of defense is the super sneaky Keylicious gimmick. The routine is funny and entertaining, but the versatility of the gimmick allows you to come up with your own routine.
The gimmick is something unlike anything else available in the magic market place and we are sure you will be able to come up with some unique uses of your own with the Keylicious gimmick.
Points to Remember:
Easy to perform
Routine ends clean and everything is examinable
Gimmick is very durable
Note: This is a non-discountable item.
(2) Pirate Booty: The latest from Bob Solari.
Six cards are placed face down on the table.
The spectator is handed a 'gold' coin from a sunken treasure ship.
The spectator is instructed to place the coin on the back of any card, trying to find the pirate’s treasure. There is no force of any kind.
The five remaining cards are turned face up, showing all to have a skull and crossbones printed on their faces.
The selected card with the 'gold' coin is turned face up. Printed on its face is the pirate’s treasure chest! The spectator has found the pirate’s treasure! The spectator may keep the 'gold' coin as a souvenir.
Resets in seconds, No force. Great for adults as well as children. Complete with custom printed cards, 'gold' coin, plastic wallet and easy to follow instructions.
(3) Apple And The Block Of Gold – Ali Bongo: Right now, Game Of Thrones is one of the hottest shows on television. In addition, all five of the books have been on the best-seller list for a really long time.
So, it makes perfectly good sense to introduce a “princely” routine into your family shows.
A young prince decided to make his way in the world and his father offered him a choice of two precious objects: a ripe apple or a solid block of gold.
The prince chose the gold. You openly place the gold block into a box which the prince will then carry with him.
After a long journey, the prince finds himself in a desert; the block of gold is getting heavier and heavier and he begins to wish he'd chosen the apple. He opens the box to throw away the useless block of gold, and finds that it has changed into the apple!
So where is the block of gold? Why, it's back at the castle!
A terrific story, but it's more than that: a routine has been added in which the children participate all the way through, so they are fully involved from beginning to end
Beautifully made by Future Magic, Germany
(4) Fire And Dove Box – New Model: Another new design by Tora Magic!
Show an empty box to the spectators.
At any time, the box catches fire and then suddenly the flames disappear and a live dove appears from the box!
Fully automatic in Performance!
New interior design makes it even more deceptive!
Note: This effect uses real fire. So, you must be over 18 in order to purchase it.
This is a non-discountable item.
(5) Aces & Queens – Astor Magic: From Astor Magic, an incredibly visual card effect!
Four Queens change to Four Aces in a blink on the eye!
The four Aces can be shown both face and back to the audience.
No difficult sleight on hand.
The four cards do not have to be switched as the magician uses the same cards during the entire trick.
Supplied with gimmicked cards and instructional DVD.
(6) Head Movement – Tora Magic: Have your assistant walk onstage toward you. Comment that he isn't looking very well and that you can help him.
Hold his head in your hands, moving it back and forth a little.
Suddenly you move his head down to the middle of his chest!
Move the head up and down a little as it speaks to you, then return it to its proper place!
The assistant says that now he feels much better!
While the effect is very dramatic, it is easy to set up and perform in any situation.
Very little practice is needed and the prop is made of the finest materials.
(7) Reel Magic Episode 27 - Armando Lucero:
Armando Lucero talks with John Lovick about the value of secrets and earning knowledge.
Jon Armstrong - Sessions, Las Vegas Pt. 3
Giovanni Livera shows the guys a fun routine with a couple coins and a glass.
Silly Billy - Reel Comedy segment premier!
Silly Billy talks to famous magicians at Magic Live! about doing kid shows.
Simon Lovell - Ask Simey!

David Roth - ROTH!

And, that’s this week’s First Week Of The Rest Of Our Lives Hotlist. I am not sure why I called it that. Somehow it seemed appropriate.
Any-hoo, as always we thanks you from the bottoms of our hearts for spending some time with us, whether it’s online at www.magicfact.com or in person at 102 North Street in Medford. Either way, we love the company!
