Greetings from all of us here at Hank Lee’s Magic Factory. Another great week, weather-wise. It’s a big battle between Fall and Summer, and this week Fall is winning. I don’t know whether to wear shorts or long pants. The temperature keeps bobbing up and down. For the moment, I am staying with shorts. So, if you’d like to get a good look at my fabulous legs, you have another week or two to stop by the shop at 102 North Street in Medford.
I really love being in this crazy world of magic. I am very lucky. I would not trade my life with anyone, unless maybe they offered me a bale of thousand dollar bills. Just joking. In those times when personal tragedy struck, being right here is what helped me through. Talking with customers who are really friends. Playing with all the new toys. Telling all of you about the new toys. Getting a glimpse of your lives, and letting you get a glimpse of mine. Where else does this happen? Nowhere, sez me. And, I thank you!
There are a couple of new items about to hit the market. The first is Mickael Chatelain’s INK. It’s an incredibly visual effect where something you have written on the cellophane of a card case visibly changes into something else! Write the name of a selected card on the card case. But, it’s the wrong card. As you hold the deck in your outstretched hand, the name of the card visibly changes into the selected card. It looks amazing!
The other about to be released new one is Any Signed Card To Any Spectator’s Wallet. The title tells the whole story. A card is freely selected and signed by the spectator. They then reach into their pocket and take out their wallet. Inside their very own wallet they discover their signed card! A miracle, to be sure.

(4) Mystical 13 – Howard Hamburg: A self-working miracle from Howard Hamburg.
A spectator places any two face-up spot cards on the table.
You remove a Joker from your deck and place it face up onto the table as well.
Mention that 7 is considered a lucky number among Americans, 8 is considered a lucky number by the Chinese, but 13 is your personal lucky number for certain cards in the deck.
The three cards are inserted into three different locations in the deck, chosen by the spectator. No forcing of any kind.
When the deck is spread face-down onto the table, the three face-up cards are removed, along with the face down cards next to them .
Turn the three face-down cards over to reveal that they are Aces!
You find the last Ace using a number freely chosen by the spectator!
When the spectator counts down to that number in the deck, the missing Ace is located!
Remind the spectators that 13 worked with certain cards, and it is obvious that the certain cards are Aces. Explain that 13 does not work with any other cards. To prove your point, the deck is ribbon spread face-up to reveal every card is blank!
Completely examinable at the end!

(5) Signed & Sealed – Stephane Jardonnet: Never open a brand new deck by yourself. Have a spectator open it for you, and let him realize that the card he selected and signed is inside that brand new deck, that he can inspect and open himself.
A card is freely selected in a deck, and signed by a spectator. A second spectator holds a brand new deck, still under its original shrink cellophane wrap. The signed card vanishes from the deck, and appears inside the sealed deck, opened by the spectator himself.
The method is brand new and has never been published anywhere before. While several methods for this effect exist, none of them allow the spectator to hold and inspect the deck at any given time.
You will need some basic card technique skills to perform this trick. It is not for extreme beginners, however, it is fairly easy to perform.
