Greetings from all of us at Hank Lee’s Magic Factory, where summer is quickly coming to a close. How do I know? Well, Aron is already back at school and Lucas heads back to school next week. Plus, Bonnie has made her triumphant return from Martha’s Vineyard along with Bones The Dog. Alas, my Summer Batchelor Days are over.
Before the summer officially ends, there were some important things to do. Like last Friday night’s annual fireworks display in Oak Bluffs. This is one of the best fireworks displays anywhere. Just when you think it’s over, they start shooting them off again. There were at least three finales in the show. We were ready to leave, but Aron said there was more to come, and he was right! The other end of summer event that is just not to be missed is the West Tisbury Agricultural Fair. We have been attending since the kids were teeny tiny, and it is really fun. In the scheme of things, it is a pretty small fair, but in the scheme of Martha’s Vineyard things, it is a major event. This year, Lucas worked at the Tempura Hut as a fry chef. He made a bundle of money. All cash. Mmmm. Mmmm. We dubbed him The King of Grease. That’s him with the little tiny beard at the left.
