Those Whizzy Dizzy Elves

Greetings from all of us at Hank Lee's Magic Factory. We are so very jolly here, what with all the holiday excitement. It's just a happy, snappy place. Truth is, we are all getting a little slap-happy with all the orders to fill and pack and ship. The poor little elves heads are a' spinnin.' Don't get me wrong. We love your orders; the more the merrier. So, keep 'em comin.'

For those of you on our snail-mail list (and you all should be; just send me an email with your name and address to make sure you get our quarterly EXTRAs), the Holiday EXTRA should be in your mailbox by now. It is chock full of magical goodies. Plus news about next year's Cape Cod Conclave! The best thing about the EXTRA is that you can mark the items that you really want, then leave the EXTRA in a conspicuous place. That way, you will get what you really want for the holidays, and not another sweater. Check your mailbox today!

Before I tell you about all the cool stuff in this week's Hotlist, you need to check out the newest feature in our Online Catalog. If you look at the column on the far right of the page, under Today's News, you will find the Brand New This Week list. If you click on any of the items, you will go directly to it's description. We think this is a pretty cool feature. Especially, for those of you who need to see what's new, right this second. So, check it out. Now to the Hotlist.

Ambelitious Card - Another winner from Japan’s Masuda. The Ambelitious Card is one you will have to see to believe!
It starts out like a normal Ambitious Card routine. A signed card jumps from the top of the deck to the bottom, then back to the top again. So far just regular stuff. But, just you wait, Henry Higgins!
Holding the deck in dealing position, you visibly insert the signed card into the middle of the deck. The spectators can see the card go right into the center of the deck. NO doubt as to where the card is going.
Square the deck up and, in a blink, the entire deck vanishes except for one card. The signed card. Give the card a toss into the air, catch it and bow to huge applause.
This is one of the most visual card effect we have ever seen. And, it’s really easy to do! When you see how it works, you will be amazed!
Comes with the very special gimmicked cards and an instructional DVD (in both Japanese and English) which makes the learning a breeze. $42.50

Corker Coin In Bottle - Take your Coin in Bottle routine to the extreme with Corker Coin in Bottle by Chris Capstone!
Display a bottle and a cork, which are both handed out for examination. The cork is then inserted into the top of the bottle, thereby preventing the entry or escape of any foreign objects.
A quarter is then borrowed, and you tap it on the bottom and side of the bottle. 1-2-3-CLINK! The coin visibly penetrates the bottle and is now freely shown sealed inside. The cork is still in place and the bottle none the worse for wear.
Now, the bottle is held right under the spectators' noses so they can clearly see the coin inside. The coin is then magically passed through the bottle and handed back to its owner!
The problem of switching the coin, getting it folded, and getting it into the neck of the bottle has been eliminated. The dirty work is done long before the climax, so you can focus on presentation. Plus, the coin they hand you never leaves their sight before it penetrates the bottle.
Important features:
* Precision manufactured gimmick
* Easy to do. No difficult sleight of hand
* Everything can be examined
* Four different routines included. Routine #4 resets automatically
* Patter, jokes, and gags included
* Bonus finale idea included
* Comes complete with a folding quarter to complement your performance
Corker is a quality prop accompanied by very complete, detailed instructions and illustrations by Tony Dunn. $35.00

Rudolph The Forgetful Reindeer - Just in time for your holiday shows! Show a model of an absentminded Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer to the kids, and talk about how Rudolph is very forgetful.
He forgets where he put his Christmas list and how to get things ready for his famous Christmas Eve ride. He is so forgetful that he once forgot where he left his nose.
To show what it looked like, take the nose from his body and make it disappear! Then, take a balloon, blow it up, and place it where the nose was on the body.
Rudolph is very unhappy as the other reindeer call him names and make fun of him because of his balloon nose.
Explain how Santa has a conversation with Forgetful Rudolph where Santa tells Rudolph how unhappy he is to have him "lose his nose". Santa gets a promise from Rudolph that he will bring all the good little girls and boys something extra and try not to forget things anymore, and he restores his nose with a few magic words. The balloon "magically" pops, and Rudolph's nose is restored.
A brilliant trick for children and grownups of all ages.
Comes complete with instructions and everything necessary to perform this fun and entertaining trick! $180.00

Fuse - Fire Spirit Writing Solution - Ask a spectator to choose a card from a deck and to memorize the card. Take a piece of tissue paper and ask the spectator to hold the paper between her hands. The spectator is told to stare at the paper and concentrate on the image of her card.
Now, take a box of matches and light one. Let it burn for about ten seconds and blow it out. Immediately, take the blown out match and touch it to the paper. A small smoldering starts. It continues to burn in a trail and slowly the suit of the card is revealed in the tissue paper.
Take another match and repeat the above, only to display the number of the card. The paper stops burning once it has spelled out the card selected. The spectator is left with a souvenir of the card's number and suit burned through the paper.
Other Suggested Routines
* Use an ESP deck. The selected symbol burns in to the paper.
* Find out someone's name prior to the performance and select them as a spectator and "Fire Spirit Write" their name.
* Guess someone's age.
* Put tissue paper in a frame with a red background and paint the outline of a heart on the white tissue paper. When it burns through you will have a red heart! $24.95

Reverse Prediction - Wait until you see Reverse Prediction. It's the latest from our friend Masuda of Japan, who brought you Frozen In Time and Mystery Hole. This is not just a card trick. It's a visual mystery that will absolutely blow you away!
Place a black Plexiglas case and a deck of cards on the table.
Remove the deck from the box, have the spectator select a card, return it to the deck and then shuffle the deck.
Explain that you knew even before the card was chosen what it would be. And, your prediction is inside the black plexi case.
Open the case. The inside of the case is black as well, decorated with a repeating alphabet design.
On one side of the case is a blank faced card, two corners of which are secured with what look like corner mounts from a photo album. The blank faced card has the value and suit of a playing card cut into the card, stencil style. Turns out it's the Eight of Spades, which you announce is the match for the selected card. Of course, you are wrong. Wouldn't be any fun otherwise!
Open the folder with the blank faced card showing, and place it on the table.
Ask the spectator to find their card in the deck. Now, direct their attention to the folder. The holes in the blank faced card have changed to match both the value and suit of their selected card. You can even then pick up the card, and look at them through the cutouts, if you wish. The change from one card to the other is unbelievable. There is just no way it can happen, yet it does! And, only one card is used!
Strong and highly visual. No reset, which makes it perfect for walk-around performance. You'll fool yourself with this one! Comes with the black Plexiglas case, the cutout card, a deck of Bicycle cards and full instructions. $37.50
